Quadrant Private Equity has sold its last piece of New Zealand retirement village owner Summerset Group in a block trade through four brokers.

Summerset announced on Friday that Quadrant had sold its 50 million shares, worth 23.2 per cent of the company, for $NZ3.10 each. First NZ Capital, Macquarie, Craigs Investment Partners and Forsyth Barr handled the trade.

Quadrant has been steadily reducing its stake since floating the business in New Zealand in November 2011.

Summerset said it would consider the make up of its board once Quadrant's Chris Hadley and Marcus Darville had left the board.
