iSentia is the leading media intelligence services in the Asia Pacific region. iSentia’s service to over 5,000 clients is underpinned by its proprietary software and systems and is delivered to clients over a number of cloud based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platforms, including its flagship Mediaportal platform. This provides clients with access to time-critical and highly relevant media information as well as tools to analyse and report on media intelligence. iSentia also provides clients a suite of value-added services including social media insights and analysis, customised media reports and bespoke media contact databases
Quadrant was attracted to iSentia due to its market leadership in Australia and New Zealand, established footprint in Asia, multiple growth strategies and experienced senior management team.
Our investment thesis focused on increasing revenue per user, growing the Asia customer base, further offshoring of production and enhancing capability through strategic acquisitions.
During Quadrant’s investment earnings grew from $19 million in 2010 to a forecast of $41 million in 2015. Quadrant achieved a number of operational and structural improvements including:
- Expanded product and service capability through acquisitions in Asia
- Acquisition of AAP delivered new customers at minimal cost
- Significant cost reductions in the business through offshoring
- Continued new product development
